my antipodes ripper goes through an elaborate analysis of the album and track before authorizing ripping including finger print analysis with acoustic verification. takes 5-10 minutes at least per album. don't know how its better than straight ripping, but its cool to watch.

I agree. It looks like they have an option for a stainless steel version for $200 more. Not sure it's going to make that much of a difference with a SS chassis.

I don't think I'd keep it long enough for it to corrode. Plus the blue is very sheik.

Since I won't be playing it in the rain nor shooting at it I will just go with the cheap chassis

I just got my Hiby R5 Saber in today, great DAP for the money. The Saber has a bit more detail if my memory of the the OG R5 is correct.
