Tom was so kind to all animals. He would speak to them in the sweetest tone....almost musical.
Another wonderful thing about a wonderful man.

Why Women Make Better Assassins

The CIA had an opening for an assassin. After all the background checks, interviews and testing were done, there were three finalists: two men and a woman.

For the final test, the CIA agents took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun.

"We must know that you will follow your instructions no matter what the circumstances. Inside the room you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Kill her."

The man said "You can't be serious. I could never shoot my wife".

The agent said, "Then you are not the right man for this job. Take your wife and go home".

The second man was given the same instructions. He took the gun and went into the room. All was quiet for about five minutes. The man came out with tears in his eyes, "I tried, but I can't kill my wife."

The agent said, "You don't have what it takes, so take your wife and go home "

Finally, it was the woman's turn. She was given the same instructions to kill her husband. She took the gun and went into the room. Shots were heard one after another. They heard screaming, crashing, and banging on the walls. After a few minutes, all was quiet. The door opened slowly and there stood the woman, wiping sweat from her brow.

"The gun was loaded with blanks" she said. "I had to kill him with the chair."

My girlfriend would make an excellent assassin..... no weapons needed and you wouldn't see it coming, she could talk you to death.

(Only kidding but she does like a natter)

So I traded my DM7s for some Flare Audio Pro 2s. I've been wanting to try these for a while. Not a bad, super tiny, pair of IEMs. Total different sound sig than the DM7. The Flare Bluetooth dongle is terrible, but switching to the BTR-5 fixes that. Zepp sounds excellent with this pairing. These were made for acoustic guitar. Ottmar Liebert sound better than I've heard him before. They remind me a little of the Fearless S8F without the 7 Khz spike. The treble is a little bit on the crunchy side, but that may be because they haven't been burned in. Giving them some time to burn in and to get a bit better felling for them.

@majo123 how does the Ety ER4s compare to the Flares? Didn't you have the Flare Pros for a while?

I did own the flares pro and I did like them to some extent, agreed the Bluetooth dongle sounded awful but my Bluetooth journey at that time had always disappointed , until btr5 nothing had ever come close to wired for me although my Bluetooth journey had always been limited.
My main complaint with the pros was a grainy rasping mids/vocals and this metallic sheen to the treble, this sounds worse in words than it was but it was the rasping vocals that I couldn't live with, I even sent them back under warranty to check them, it was actually a very good iem though and if the vocals/mids which should be the star of the show in my eyes had been ok i would of definitely kept them, lovely detail and the sub bass is probably the best I have heard on any iem in my limited experience.
Compared to etymoyic there totally different, firstly bass which the flares are very good at if you like bass , both mids and treble are far superior on the etys much more accurate, smooth and lovely....personally I don't know if you would like etys due to bass and they do lack depth to say something like multi driver andro, dm6 etc etc but etymotic have been doing this a lot longer than most and specialise in hearing products, what makes them excellent for me is there accuracy, its a more 2d sound being a single mico ba but the detail and realism is so accurate to me , when I first got them I described it like putting surgical instruments in my ears, precise accurate and very very clean , micro detail possibly the best I have heard and easily as good as andro or better at this... if I were to recommend to anyone etys , I honestly would say buy from amazon so you can return if not your thing, also give them a chance for you to become accustomed to there sound as it's unlike a lot of iems but if like me you do then you will go back to other stuff and think, these vocals sound wrong or this bass is bloated or this treble is too much, accurate accurate accurate is all I can say ..give em a try is all I can say , I will never sell my er4xr

Steve Oliver owns er4xr too and I know he likes them...also the fit on the flares wasn't great for me, the etys deep insertion are fantastic for me believe it or not.
