to replace my aging Audioengine A5+ Speakers, which will be moved to my backup desktop system. Had a $125 dollar discount with Audioengine so I finally used it.

I don't know if any of you have been looking at or seen the new iBasso DX180 DAP. Some serious stats for the price, and right now on Bloom Audio you can get the 4gb Ram + 128gb internal version for the price of the 3gb Ram + 32gb internal version. An 11% savings.


EDIT: I originally read the specs on the DX180 thread here on site, but Bloom lists both as 3gb ram, just differs in the internal storage.

You can always add a Micro SD card. Some daps like my M11 even have 2 slots, so you could have 2 x 1.5tb cards if you needed that.

Lol, that's alot of vinyl to tote around.

I don't know if this question is going to make me sound like a nostalgic old man, but have you ever thought about how your younger self would have their brainpan blown if they were to see some of the stuff we have today? I couldn't imagine having 10's of thousands of songs on a DAP when I was a teenager. Hell, I couldn't have even imagined a Digital Audio Player, lol. The highest portable music tech back then was a Sony Walkman .

Yep, for me it was even way before CD and the digital world for portable unless one was packing a DAT player
