I'm sad John abandoned these in favor of all stationary gear:cry: C5 is an awesome amp although I still prefer my C421 to it!

To me the C421 was executed so well:thumbsup:

Been several years back now that I sent this tin to John and he built my Dual 9v CMOY specifically to drive my 712's but this thing will drive just about anything that requires a little extra juice:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@grs8 Here's a decent price on the Fiio E12A. Only $129 in excellent condition. I had this amp at one time. It is really good for the price. You can roll opamps too.

You're in Germany aren't you....I found this listing for a used one too in Italy. Probably will be a lot less to ship https://www-subito-it.translate.goo...l=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=wapp
I agree with this statement. I had the E12 and and its older brother (A5?) way back. Great sounding pieces and very powerful. Nice slim profile too. I regret selling them now.
My favorite portable amps were the Cypher Labs Picollo and ALO Conti V5. Great sounding units but I was then on the search for bigger and better (now that both are out of production, wished I had kept them).

Totally agree. Though I'm very happy with the P5 and C9 I have now. The one amp that I'm really missing, that I sold, was the Fostex HP-V1. So smooth and enjoyable to listen to. Hard to find these now. Those were the days that I didn't know what I was doing and gave away a gem.

@jerick70 Yes, I'm in Germany. The one on reverb has unfortunately already ended. With tax and shipping, it would have cost $192.72.
The second one on subito.it requires registration, which is only possible in Italian. I'll have another look at it tomorrow on the PC.
This is where I found it. https://www.hifishark.com/search?q=fiio+e12a There's one in Belgium too. Just 20 euros more.
