Back in the '70s, I believe the Physics Department at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock had a Dynakit ST-70.
I've got an H.H. Scott 299C (built: 1961-1964) Vacuum Tube Integrated Amp - with 11 tubes: (4) 12AX7; (2) 6U8 or 7199; [Split-load phase inverter] (4) 7591; & (1) 5AR4. It was given to me (complete, but not working) 20+ years ago. I'll be taking it to a guy in Pflugerville, TX on 11-JUN-22, to be refurbished.

I wasn’t a vintage audio equipment fan until recently. My buddy next door has some old McIntosh amps he bought in the 60s and 70s. A pair of MC30s and a MC225. They sound so good! He’s keeps them in perfect condition. Wish I had them.
Pflugerville, I haven’t heard that name in a while. I used to have friends that lived there, when I lived in Austin. I almost married their hot daughter.

My girlfriend just broke up with me for being too un-American...
But honestly, I saw it coming from a kilometer away.Where did you meter?
Meter? I hardly know ‘er!
She lives right next to my gram. Gram used to bribe me to get A’s. Poor as she was, she only paid a centigrade. She gave her all though. You candella lot about a person from how they treat others.
I love the metric system! I give it a 10 out of 10.

3 watts?
The 299C has ~30 W/Ch, and I believe the headphone jack is driven by the main amplifier channels, rather than by a separate internal headphone amp.

Great sounding headphones. Way too heavy on your head to enjoy the sound though.First step into the HiFi rabbit hole.

When searching Google, I see the Audeze LCD-X listed as weighing 612 grams, and I also see that my new Monolith M1070 (open back) weighs 580 grams - so not too much lighter, and I know I wouldn't do any very "active" chores around the house, when wearing them.
