WOW:
First up, Britpop camp glam popsters Suede, with Saturday Night
And let us not forget The Bay City Rollers, with (perhaps unsurprisingly) Saturday Night
And, just for completion, the movie scene without which I'd have never discovered that gem of a track.
It's from So I Married An Axe Murderer, a film in which Mike Myers plays both his main character and his main character's Scottish dad
Oh, and I just remembered this!
I've been listening to Counting Crows albums recently, and lamenting the fact that only 'August and Everything After' is available in 24bit hi-res
Counting Crows, from their 2008 album "Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings", here's my two favourites from that album.
Firstly, the rather cheerful 'When I dream of Michaelangelo'
And also the more dark and atmospheric 'Le Ballet d'Or' which builds up in volume and intensity quite nicely as the song progresses
Indeed very sad, in his sleep at 72! As a Texas boy they are like my home state's # 1 rock band of course steeped in the blues Can't tell you how much I partied in this very venue in High School
Billy's voice is showing signs of decline however his pickin' is still wicked
