People bastardize words all the time and have fun making up their own versions.
A guy at work visited the states and got it drummed into him to call a cigarette a cigarette or ciggy.
Sounds like it.

Now all I have to do is figure out how I screwed up my speaker set up. But now at least I have my headphone amp to keep me happy.
Long time no talk, guys... Been out of the audiophile world for some time... Still need to pawn off some gear. Just sold my DM6 to someone! I still have a few items, like the AP80 which I haven't posted or my Bluewave get which I could sell off... How's everyone doing?

How've you been? Have you moved away from this hobby, or just downsizing?

What guitar solos cannot be replicated?
Here’s a story from Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top (who is a monster guitarist). He ran into Prince at a bar after the 2009 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame concerts, and the two ended up having a two-hour conversation exchanging mutual admiration, and talking about music.
"[Prince] said, 'I’ve really enjoyed some of the work that showed up on that monster hit of yours, Eliminator, the sound of 'Gimme All Your Lovin’'” He went on to cite a number of titles. I said, ‘Okay, I could give you some amplifier settings, I could give you some guitar strings.’ I said, ‘Why don’t you tell me about ‘When Doves Cry'? He just smiled. ‘That one gets me too.’"

What fact sounds completely made up but is actually real?
Here are some actual facts that seem made up from Facts Daily:
1. Choosing exciting places for first date increases the chances of the other person falling for you.
2. Farting helps reduce high blood pressure and is good for your health.
3. Breastfeeding allows a baby to give germs to mothers so that her immune system can respond and can synthesize antibodies for her baby.
4. Handshakes were originally meant to make sure that the person you were meeting wasn’t carrying a concealed weapon. The hand clasp proved that your hand was empty and shaking was meant to dislodge any weapons hiding up the sleeve.
5. The boomslang snake’s venom causes you to bleed from all holes of your body.
6. Women have twice as many pain receptors on their body than men. But a much higher pain tolerance.
7. When getting a new car, choose one that is silver. The color is most visible on the road and is least likely to get into an accident.
8. If you like unusual facts this is a good one: by law, a pregnant woman can pee anywhere she wants to in Britain, even if she chooses, in a police officer’s helmets.
