From what I've read (here), using the AFT is faster and more stable with Windows.  Can't say for sure, as I use a Mac.  I also use Commander One now, which is in itself more stable that AFT (but is a paid app).

That said, I used AFT and my iMac to move 100gb of music from my 120ll internal onto my HD in about 4-5 hours, pulling about 6-10 albums folders at a time (so maybe 700mb per folder).  AFT did well with this method.  I was unable with AFT to pull over my entire Music folder in one fell swoop.  Crashes.

This is something I've just discovered with the Ak240, which is really cool.

I have a Sonos network at home with 4 zones.

I was able to play music from my ak240 to my zones using the AK Connect software.

This to me is amazing because I have been unable to add my music library to the Sonos system.... I guess I no longer need to.

Just wondering if AK240 and SE846 with Whiplash TWag V3 8 Conductor can fit into Pelican 1020?

Anyone can confirm this? Cheers.

wow...wasn't it 5k when first released?
Yes sir!
Currently 1999$ in the US (Amazon), and 3999$/€ elsewhere.
So this is definitely a good deal if you want a good DAP and an awesome jazz collection.

I you don't like jazz, then it's probably better to buy a KANN.

I'm not sure a KANN outperforms a 240 ... is there anecdotal evidence of this?

To connect the Ak240 usb line out to a Hugo, is it a micro usb b to micro usb b or micro usb b to micro b (OTG)?

Edit: nvm, needs the otg.

This thread is dying, too bad since the AK240 was a landmark product that showed how good a DAP can perform, and opened the way for A&K competitors to realize its own designs in pursuing the top of the mountain in digital file playback.

Well, for one, the DAP is a few years old, so interest is bound to wane.

Nevertheless, I do agree with you - the AK240 is still a great player. I sold mine a couple of weeks ago, but I'm already missing it. Oh, well.
