Tried Astell & Kern, the website consists of promo material and the support is a list of FAQ's!! 

  iRiver's website "where to buy" shows their regional office if United States is selected.  So I'm assuming that there are no "authorized" dealers in US from whom you have to buy to receive proper warranty work.

I bought mine from Ted Allen, he is 100% a factory authorized dealer as AK verified that directly with me. There is a thread about him and his biz on H.F. called "The NEW Headphone Lounge Thread"  If you like PM me and I'll give you his contact details or PM him directly. You will be able to see his name on the thread.  He makes great cables too.

ALO Audio is also an authorized dealer in the US.   I got both of my AKs from them because they are actually in walking distance from my house.  They sell at list prices though.  You might be able to get a discount from Ted.   Oddly, I think Ted lives in my state as well.  Apparently, Oregonians are audiophiles.
