Any suggestions for headphone amp driven from 240 balanced out to power LCD3?
Was thinking of the new Burson Conductor.

I contacted audio-gd about their Master 9 but they said even high gain the input from 240 would not be enough.

  Thank you chawya22.
What we are doing now is checking the nature of the tag files in WAV.
Yesterday I could load an album in wav without any problem on my AK240.
Seems to me that there are different kind of tag files in WAV under artist??
If we find the solution, I will post it.

From what I've been told, .wav tags aren't standardized, so they are very difficult for most DAPs to interpret. I have two players that have no problem with .wav tags, the 240 and a QP1R. My other DAPs usually display .wav Artist as unknown. By default, I always make sure that Artist and Album Artist are populated and that seems to enough for the two aforementioned DAPs to display properly. I'm very anal about tags, especially when some display and others don't. Good Luck!

Topic:artist unknown wav files AK240

I have got an answer from the seller of my AK240.
This is what he says: "the AK240 does not recognize the artist because the music is not original and copied from a website". End quote.
The file I have sent was a file bought at Qobuz.com (wav 24 bit). If I read this correct it means that AK240 has a problem with recognizing the artist of any file (24 bit wav) bought legally at the providers?
Does this make sense to anyone?

I've tried burning CD's to wav files and never could get album art on them.  They are the worst for tags.  Sorry, I never found an answer.

The only real way to fine out is to look into how Qobuz tag the wav at the end chunk, and your seller's answer makes no sense.

Also, someone needs to try running the Qobuz download with a converter like dBpoweramp or JRiver to see will the wav gets re-tagged into something that the AK240 can read.

Regarding AK Connect, the missing album artwork appears to be only hi res titles, not all strangely, but none of my 600+ CD rips have this issue. Also, someone commented earlier that gapless playback is defeated with AK Connect, and that is correct.

I'm hoping these issues will be resolved in an app update or a firmware update sometime in the future ...

Still, this functionality when using an AK dap as the source on a speaker system is really nice to have.

Absolutely agree! I love being able to stream my entire music library and listen to music from there on my IEMs around the house. Without any concern about having to copy them to the DAP which is a great pain for Mac owners.

Yes, the transfer process from a Mac to a 240 can be highly frustrating.

Have you tried Commander Pro to transfer from a Mac to 240? It is a huge improvement.

Thanks for the tip, kennybobenny! Will have a peek. :)

Am I the only one having problems using the AK240 as a USB dac with Windows 10 lately? Been using it for ages, now it suddenly refuses to work with W10 :frowning2:

I have been looking at the Astell & Kern PEM14 Audio CD AK Ripper myself. But I don't have an A&K DAP. I want a ripper to rip into an external hard drive. Would you know if the A&K ripper rips to an A&K DAP only or into an external drive as well? I would have used my MacBook except that the rip speed is deadly slow, and I have 350+ CDs to rip.
Any suggestions?
