Yes for balanced, not exactly sure about the (true) LO part.

Technically speaking, that kinda LO ain't really considered TRUE even if that were precisely 4V via those XLR outputs.

Hardware mod by Vinnie should be much closer to true LO and that's less debatable IMHO.

it isn't and it is 2.3Vrms..I am not sure if RWAK240+ could set to 4V. I just paid 100usd to build a cable for experiment but definitely it is not a 750usd "fun".... the AK240 is not built for such analog line out purpose. it is fun and good sounding as an all-in-one DAP for iems.

CHG, I think the combo of the 435, AK240 and silver cable may have been too much transparency rolled into one. Perhaps try the 435 with a copper cable? That's one of the combos I use. :)

Hello Kiats, Thanks a lot for the advice. I got my copper cable reterminated to 2.5mm trrs tonite. Copper cable tamed the treble noticeably. Unfortunately, i still do not agree with how the drum sound gets reproduced on the c435. I think the ak240 and c435 secretly hate each other.

Do you control the volume on the 240 with this set up?

I switch on line out and balance out in the setting menu, then max out the vol. the vol control is done using the integrated amp... you can take mine to try when you have time...

Yeah, getting 1.1 * 2 = 2.2m bulk wire of flagship Wireworld Platinum Eclipse 7 from official dealer in SSP would cost just a bit more than 750 bucks. Then we could even upgrade both 2.5-mm + 3.5-mm connectors to latest ones from Ranko as well. Maybe total is 1,000 bucks or so.

hehe, you may upset a few people if you reveal the cost of cables...

regarding the DIY approach using Wireworld Platinum, I am just little worried unless we definitely know what WW would work very well in our systems..... if not, the investment may gone to waste ... perhaps its safer to invest in brand names like Kondo, Siltech, Nordost for a higher chance for resell (well, thats just me with limited fund talking...)
