I have been tempted by the Wagnus amp but not for the Tera. IMO amping the Tera negates it's ultimate portability purpose. But of course whatever works for you...and this rig still looks cool. I have tried the Tera with RSA 71b briefly and it sounded awesome.

You are right.  One of the key beauty of Tera is its portability.  I brought Tera only without amp over my two-week trip back home to Toronto as it makes not much difference while on the plane (with all the noises).

Anyone who've had good experiences of the Tera with a smaller, much smaller than the Epsilon S, amp?

I agree with others that while on the move it's hard to justify using Tera with amps because it defeats the purpose of maximum portability.
But every once in a while when I'm at home I use Tera with Corda Quickstep and it sounds wonderful.
Check this page for details and dimensions:

Yes, stacking a Tera would seem to defeat the point of having a Tera in the first place. Unless, of course, it's the smallest stack for the bestest sound maybe?

That is also true to all DAPs and portable amps, not confining to Tera, as Tera is not the smallest out there.

Really? I was under the impression that the Tera is smallest hifi quality DAP.

Depending on your definition of hifi quality DAP: the Sanza Clip+ is about 1/2 the size of the Tera.

BTW asked Charles about his opinion having modded the Tera myself and the possibility for an external (very compact) solution.
Can't imagine I'm the first one asking his opinion about this but keeping my fingers crossed...
