Just for the record I defo noticed a change over time. Everything settles down. Now superb headphones - keepers
Second best headphones I've owned after the HD800. Even then I could understand some enjoying these more depending on source etc.
Same here. My K712 has gotten very smooth with more use. It used to be a bit edgy in the treble, really calmed down. Also the bass has become tighter over time. I am keeping the K712 for sure, it's the only headphones I have I don't want to let go of. I recently sold the HD 600 as I felt it had no place with the K712 around and well the HD 600 sounds a tad woolly compared to my other headphones. Which I don't find the case with the HD 650 interestingly, the HD 650 sounds clearer to my ears than the HD 600 despite being darker and bassier. The K712 I have noticed is a fickle beast in terms of the system, I don't know why but it's definitely more revealing of system changes as well as cable changes than the HD 600 and HD 650. My Beyers seem to change as much as the K712s though. Didn't realize how much the Beyerpeak tones down on a high end systems with Beyers.
