Why would anybody want to end up with 11 fake headphones?
anyway, usd30 is like dirt cheap for an headphone, if the case(is it metal or plastic) is well designed acoustically(?im not good at english), this may be a good choice for DIYer like me....
My 7years old modified HI-2050(with QGM 320ohm driver) finally died, the head band is broken. Lucky its a cheap fix, just get 3 dollar hyperx cloud replacement head band and can run for another 5yr or whatever... not sure if this is the general thread for takstar or pro82 only, if you guys are interested i can upload some photo of the repairment process when its ready :)

I've been digging through this thread from the first post. It took me a while, but I feel even more confused after reading everything.

I bought these headphones over a week ago. I like them, but I have a feeling that the treble is a bit harsh for me. I started my reaserch and end up here. Now I know:

- there is version 0.9 in which one of the speakers sounds louder and the other is quieter
- version v1 with harsh treble
- version v2 - the best one.

Problem is - there is no v2 in any shop. Neither in stationary nor online. Friend of mine works in one of them. He told me "Never heard about v2. If there is any - show me the link". I said fine but I only found one shop - aliexpress.
https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/32808454492.html

As I read specfication

Specification:

• Transducer principle: dynamic
• Diameter of the handlebar: Ø40mm
• Impedance: 32 Ω ± 15%
• Frequency response: 10Hz-20KHz
• Sensitivity: 96 ± 3dB at 1KHz
• Max. Power: 50mW
• Rated power: 20mW
Cable: Ø4mmX1.6m
• Adapter plug: Ø3.5mm + 6.3mm
• Net weight: 237g (without cable)

I remember reading in this thread that v2 has an impedance of 28.

If i go to takstar website https://en.takstar.com/buy.html
shopify
https://takstarmall.com/products/ta...rTxKwXcKpUlr9BGs_-QzpEVSqfVdPIxX07FGByR0Xs_cI

Specifications
Transducer Principle: Dynamic
Driver Diameter: Ø40mm
Impedance: 32Ω±15%
Frequency Response: 10Hz-20kHz
Sensitivity: 96±3dB at 1kHz
Max. Power: 50mW
Rated Power: 20mW
Cable: Ø4mm x 2.2m
Adaptor Plug: Stereo Ø3.5mm + Ø6.3mm
Net Weight: 237g(w/o cable)

Spec from shop where I bought
https://mp3store.pl/sluchawki/hi-fi...-black-sluchawki-z-3-stopniowa-regulacja-basu

Technical data:
Transducer type: Dynamic
Transducer Diameter: Ø40mm
Impedance: 32Ω
Sensitivity: 96 ± 3dB at 1KHz
Frequency response: 10Hz 20kHz
Possibility Continuous power: 50 MW
Cable: Ø4mm x 2.2
Plug / Adapter: Stereo Ø3.5mm + Ø6.3mm
Included: Headphones, Case, Gold-plated 6.3mm plug, Transport case and Manual
Weight: 237g (without cable)

So only differ - cable lenght. I just don't understand. Price in aliexpres for me is $98. I bought them for life $70. Same price in every shop in Poland.

So couple questions:

1) do v1 with tuning pads will sound close to v2?
2) Changing pads

looks easy. sort of. I read that rings are based on sony MDR-1A.
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5123975
anyone tried to 3d print them? That could solve a "good seal" problem.
3) @BenF - how are those vension cables perfomrs?
4) Anyone tried to make their own cables? which cable to use? What parameters should it have? Of course, it should be four-wired. whitch 2.5mm connector fits?

Thanks in advance

I'd like to make something clear - proper v1 doesn't have harsh treble. It has a very high quality treble, just a lot of it.
So poorly recorded/mastered tracks (especially when using non-synergy sound chain), may sound harsh.

Problem is - there is no v2 in any shop. Neither in stationary nor online. Friend of mine works in one of them. He told me "Never heard about v2. If there is any - show me the link". I said fine but I only found one shop - aliexpress.

Takstar really screwed up documenting which version is sold where.
TakstarMall shows 2.2m and 32Ohm, their Aliexpress "Takstar Official" store shows 1.6m and 26Ohm.
Whoever runs their stores, does a really bad job.
The only store that guarantees Pro 82 V2 is TakstarAudio: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32808454492.html
Plus, it's much cheaper and even offers the 3$ coupon (in the first post).

So couple questions:

1) do v1 with tuning pads will sound close to v2?
Yes, but with slightly more bass and less transparency. Still no veil, just not as transparent as electrostatic headphones.

2) Changing pads

looks easy. sort of. I read that rings are based on sony MDR-1A.

I never had a problem with seal on Pro 82...

3) @BenF - how are those vension cables perfomrs?
Haven't received them yet, hopefully later this week.

I measured impedance

t+s - 33.1
r+s - 34,1

Have you measured v2?

And how about that inner cushion inside of the pads? I think that mine have a lot of padding inside. I have seen on some pictures that this inner thing is transparent when photo is made with flash. You can see driver inside but in my pair I can't see a thing. And it's seams to be thick when touching it.

Yes, on V2 it's lower than 30

The cushion on my V2 also feels thick and isn't transparent with my phone's flash.

Oh boy. $80 on Amazon vs $50 on Ali. That's an enticing gamble.

OK. Fine. I will check.
I found them here
https://pl.aliexpress.com/item/32811589590.html
Seller claims that they are v2. Yet, TakstarAudio Store charges more but they offer free return in 14 days if something would be wrong with them. I Can give a try. I risk nothing.
This seller "Xiao mi World Store" is known for fake-shipping Pro 82 in the past.
It's a very shady store, their name is a dead giveaway - they try to look respectable by pretending to be a part of Xiaomi
They have a horrible feedback too - I wouldn't spend 5 cents at a store with a 85% rating:

They sell clearly fake products. Anyone for a 99.89$ "Galaxay" S21 Ultra? Or S22 Ultra for 91.99$?
1645636583658.png

And how about "Huavvei" and "Hauwei" Mate 40 Pro on the cheap?

Don't buy there, TakstarAudio is the safest choice.
Anyone who buys from stores like "Xiao mi World Store", deserves to be ripped off.
Aliexpress is the Wild West, and only the smartest cowboys will survive :L3000:

Hello
I have read that these earpads are recommended for Pro 82/gm200.
Of what material? I like the velvet, although the gray fabric would be better.
