I wanted to try this one and the #9038S as well, which btw received very good recent review at audiosciencereview website. Shame I cannot find an easy way to connect Pro 82 to them...Finally another great item beautifully pair up 82.
i also thinking which to get so i choose this. maybe future get other one too.I wanted to try this one and the #9038S as well, which btw received very good recent review at audiosciencereview website. Shame I cannot find an easy way to connect Pro 82 to them...
How do you go about cleaning your Pro 82 pads? Mine's really in bad shape and I'm worried taking the pads out and re-attaching them would be a hassle.
bought from taobao but have to rewire again to make it work. Initially the default wiring not same i dunno why.@muths 66 Which cable is that you use here with the E1da and the Pro 82 ??
How do the MH751 and Pro 82 V2 compare in vocal presence and smoothness of treble? Here are the measurements of Cooler Master MH751:
Here is a comparison with Pro 82 v2:
As you can see, MH751 is boosted up to 5-6 dBs under 230Hz.
I don't know if this boost is a result of retuned drivers, larger cups or different pads, but it comes at a cost of SQ - and not just in the bass region, tonality is off by more than FR would suggest.
MH751 definitely loses in the vocals, natural timbre is gone, and electrostatic-like transparency is nowhere to be found. How do the MH751 and Pro 82 V2 compare in vocal presence and smoothness of treble?
I don't like basshead bass, I like north of neutral bass, with natural timbre, full thick vocals, smooth uppermidrange and smooth treble.MH751 definitely loses in the vocals, natural timbre is gone, and electrostatic-like transparency is nowhere to be found.
If you want a bass-head version of Pro 82, there is only one choice - Takstar GM200: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33012705103.html
GM200 and MH751 have almost identical frequency response, but GM200 sounds like Pro 82 v2 in the mids and the highs, and you can see why:
GM200 does lose the synergy with the "synergy combos", but still sounds fantastic from high quality sources - SMSL IQ + O2 sound best.
I hope to write a review on it soon, been delaying it for weeks.
Both Pro 82 and B8 produce full smooth vocals, but Pro 82 has better transparency with perfect timbre, while B8 has a more euphonic presentation, pushing mids forward.I don't like basshead bass, I like north of neutral bass, with natural timbre, full thick vocals, smooth uppermidrange and smooth treble.
Which one is smoother with fuller vocals; Pro 82 V2 or BossHiFi B8?
Do you mean by ''too much mids'', too much mids in the lower midrange, or upper midrange? Because I can't stand emphasized upper mids, I like them to be a bit dipped for less fatigue. I like a bit of emphasized lower mids though, so it gives vocals more bodyBoth Pro 82 and B8 produce full smooth vocals, but Pro 82 has better transparency with perfect timbre, while B8 has a more euphonic presentation, pushing mids forward.
I can listen to Pro 82 as much as I want, but B8 gets me tired after a couple of hours - too much mids.
Comparison with Bosshifi B8
GM200 still has 98% of Pro 82 mids/treble with the same great timbre, but adds a couple more dBs in the bass - a nice compromise between Pro 82 bass and Fostex TH900MK2 bass.
It's not enough for pure bassheads, but it should please people who want the best of both worlds.
I think B8's mids are too forward in the female vocal range (which is my favorite range). At first listen, there is a "wow" factor, but it can get tiring quickly.Do you mean by ''too much mids'', too much mids in the lower midrange, or upper midrange? Both have smooth treble, no harshness. Pro 82 is better extended, B8 is darker. What about treble smoothness between the 2?
