A couple of Aliexpress stores have listed Pro 82 at an unrealistically low price - 63$.
Do not buy from them! These stores have history of "selling" Pro 82 and never delivering.

The only store that is 100% guaranteed to have stock, is the Takstar factory store:

Another store that is likely (not 100%) to have stock at the moment is Volemer High-end Life Tech Store:

They have a mixed track record with Pro 82, but claim to have it now - at reasonable price.

I bought mine from volemer store. The tracking number is trackable. At leat it's a good sign the did sent something to me lol

Also, I've tried that KitKat actually, my GF loves it. Me not so much, I prefer other chocolate combinations But that's good for you, one less competing with you for it haha

Did you try the dark green one or the light green one?
The light green one is too delicate, it may be OK for your GF, but the dark green one is "man's" strength.

Damn, you can't really resist the O2, can you? At this rate, I will eventually (next year) do the same as you and buy a second set of all of this.

I can't quite remember which one it was, but I think it was the dark green. I will have to get my hands on one again to get it straight

Today I finally received my bose cable. Thank god for the changeable cables. Now I can use my Pro 82's with my mp3 player or use them with my smartphone.

I have this cable, its mic works great for me.
Of course, it's possible that you got a lemon, but let's check first - is the problem a volume? If yes, make sure that the volume of "recording device" is set to 100, and try to apply gain.

Or you can just keep it closer to your mouth

OOTB they sound exactly the same as the ones I used for the last 6 months - I wouldn't risk A/B testing them.
This is such a stark contrast to Pro 80s, which needed to be burned for weeks to sound their best.
Pro 82 is a work of art, Takstar engineers deserve a medal for this headphone.

Modding them takes about 30 seconds, so I don't need to make any decisions right now

+1 on the overall performance of the Pro 82.
I have no much experience with other headphones, but these ones are definitely underrated.

Given the limited amount of Pro 82 that Takstar produces and the low market price for the quality, do you think this was sort of like a self challenge to show off the best of their technology? Not looking for any good revenue, I mean.

The silver Pro 82s look more premium than the black ones.
But take a look at the black ones - 6 months old, look brand new (didn't do any special cleaning for this shoot)!
Build quality and durability are commendable on Pro 82!

I think they were shooting for another solid performer like Pro 80, but ended up with something much better than anticipated.
Now they can't mass-market Pro 82 because it may hurt their OEM revenue.
Hopefully we'll see versions of Pro 82 under other brand names soon.

Well, they do have a simple solution... Increase the price. That's how you do things on the market, if you have a better than expected product, you increase its price. Not that I want that, God no! But I understand that it may happen in the mid-term.

But I agree, the 82 Pro is amazing for its price, I feel like anyone could actually benefit from having it. No burn in, no tricks, just simple "it works".

EDIT: welp, I just bought the O2 from Headnhifi, hopefully it arrives next week.
