I think it’s 1DD 3BA?

He's correct it's 1DD + 2BA. 3-Way Crossover.
DD is Custom Tuned and we collaborated with Rossi&Wing for it.

Titan great bass, but definitely lacks treble extension. Also, mids (esp uppermids) were too recessed for me
Anyone here know if this has sibilance? Im very sensitive to it.

Titan is a dark IEM - the same folks who found Quattro too dark should probably scroll on - but it is not muddy or muffled or lacking in treble air or extension though some may want it more prominent. It is perfectly intelligible.

Yes, upper mids could be lusher imo, but that’s how I like my mids and there are IEMs for those.

No sibilance, at least not in my experience, not yet.

The Titan did not sound muffled at all to me. There's a proper relationship between the bass mids and treble IMO

+1.

Anyway digging this combo for now. NiceHCK GreenGod just got here and I threw it on for a lark because they look good together. Brings aforementioned upper mids forward; opens the highs a bit as well. Mind, I still don’t think there’s actually anything wrong with the stock cable.

Hello Everyone.

I recently sold my u12t because I wanted something more bassy and more engaging and Titan looks like to to have all thar I need.

The U12T does not need a lot of power so I was just using a Ibasso DC03 Pro and it was fine, not the last word in resolution but better than Apple Dongle, I also used thr DC03 Pro with my Meteor and it was surprisingly good.

Titan needs a lot of power aparently, what dongle dac or amp you suggest?

How much do you want to spend? I drove the Crimson quite okay, maybe like 90% there, with AFUL Snowy Night, and that dongle is quite affordable. I haven't check the sensitivity of Titan but it's unlikely harder to drive than Crimson.

If you are willing to splurge and cost is not a big concern for this purchase, have a look at L&P W4. If size is not a problem, FiiO Q7 is a good idea.

Edit: how about the bundle that Symphonium sells with a dongle? They should have chosen the right one for their IEM.

Yeah budget is a concern, I have just 200 USD to purchase a source for the Titan. Currently optionns are, Second hand Topping G5, iFi Hip DAC 3 and Ibasso DC04 Pro...

I am leading to the Tooping since it's the most powerful and neutral of the options (Wich I think is good for a Bassy set like Titan).

But I am open to suggestions :)

One vote for the G5.

I personally have a strong dislike toward the built in DAC of G5, but I know plenty people are totally fine with it, and as any Topping product, it has perfect objective measurements. The amp is excellent though.

If you are like me, you can use your existing dongle as DAC for the G5 when you sit down and enjoy music. When you are on the go, just rely on built in DAC and bluetooth (which is actually quite stable and sounds alright). That’s how I would use. I personally pair my G5 with my DX300 for Symphonium IEMs until I save up enough to change the amp card on my DX300.

One thing to note about G5: it’s poorly shielded so if you stack that on your phone, you will hear EMI noise whenever the phone wifi works (to buffer new tracks, for example). The solution is simple: don’t stack them.

Hmm if neutral is what you looking at, most of the dongles with cirrus logic DAC or ESS will be good with more than 200mw of power. The issue is the low impedance of the IEM (3ohm) so my guess is a good portion of non-iem focused amps will have issue.

Some of the top my head in addition to what you list above, luxury and precision w2 second hand, moondrop river 2, ibasso dc06.

I’d be very tempted to get the E1DA 9038D for $110 or possibly wait for his updated model that’s due out soon Review here by Archimago part 1 for technical stuff and measurements of it and Part 2 here with a deep dive with the features .

Here is the 98 page headfi thread regarding the E1DA dac

I have absolutely no need for his new model as I have a Hiby R6 iii but I’ll be getting one when they’re released, Ivan is an incredible engineer

They’re aiming for July and around 3k USD last I heard. Duality is are like car subwoofers in your ears. No other IEM comes close. It’s extra fun with both of the impedance adapters.
Oh my sounds like something for me :) it's totally bass bleed or u can still hear mids and treeble?

There are any specs or photos?

Price is out of my range but maybe some day :D + they need to be available in europe. (i guess not ? )

Probably best to ask @Chang about that on the Nightjar Thread.

With the impedance adapter it's harder to drive but also crazy bassy. It could be someone's cup of tea but the Titan is bassy enough for me 😂

Thanks for bringing this device to my attention. I’m grabbing one to drive my Meteor. If I win lottery I’ll buy Titan and Crimson too
