I'm waiting on a shipping date form hisoundaudio. We are currently not in agreement on certain business terms. There is no reason for not shipping the Studio. I'm doing everything I can to make this work.

I will post updates once i have them.

what DAC does the studio 1 use? Is there a line out or is this meant to be standalone? Is there going to be a sizeable gap between production of studio 1 and 2?

And of course... are these still available to preorder? :)

You can look at disection photos, but I doubt you can figure out, because chipsets are covered. It's supposed to be secrets. I do like the Sigmatel in general, they are power efficient and mellow sound (at least, that's my cheap mp3 players sound.)

Craig, you are a great guy.  Everyone says so.  I understand this is frustrating for you, as the Hisound thing might be out of your control.  But we both have a different interest here.  While you are holding on to my money, I am only holding on to the hope that the Studio is all that, some day.  I'm sure there are things you don't know, or you would have let us know.  But a little respect with a quick update of some sort, such as "still working on resolving the issue," or "agreed to this, but still waiting for that" type of thing would be nice.  Or even just a response of "thanks for asking, but unfortunately no progress."  Is that too much to ask?  I am sure if I met you, we would end up having a beer together, but right now I just want a refund.  For all I know I could wait until 2011.  When the Studio finally comes out, I may buy then.  Sure, the price may be higher, but that is my decision.  Thank you for understanding and refunding my money.

Haha, mate - all the preorders on head-fi are like this. You should see the complaints on the portable amps especially ahahaha. Trust me, patience is everything when it comes to audio. A rushed product would never be worth it. :)

I'm getting pretty sick of this.  Why did Hisound recess the headphone jack to begin with?  Now it's fixed, and they hold out on this entire community??  Why would Hisound want a bad reputation on Headfi???   I'm giving this one more week.  After that, I think I want out.  I'll need a refund for my pre-order as well.  It's a shame.

The Studio has already been out! They're holding out for someother unspecified reason. That's why we're frustrated.
