Interesting cans, though I am curious if they can only produce mono sound, seeing as the headband only contains two wires. Normally the cable enters one cup and through the headband provides the other side with a signal. Unless at least one of the metal bands is separated under the connector where the cable comes in to this set, allowing for a separate left, right and ground

What you see there aren't wires, but two elastic bands. They put out stereo sound.

Browsing this thread as I've just bought a pair of K140s, I find it hard to believe the question in your first post about spare parts for the K141.
 
Is it really possible that "ein Wiener" isn't aware that AKG is a company of that very city? Spare parts should abound in your "very" vicinity!
