With the cups from Cabillas, it's quite easy. Here's how you do it.
- Lay down some of your craft mesh.
- Hold one of your cups (with the driver removed) over the mesh.
- Using a fine-tip Sharpie, trace the circle opening onto the mesh.
- The traced circle will actually be a bit smaller than the actual opening.
- With a scissors, cut around the circle, adding about 3/8" to the area you are cutting.
- Check the fit and see if the screen lays in the cups without rubbing on the sides.
- If there is some rubbing, perform a few minor trims until it fits smoothly with out sticking.
- Paint your craft screen black - or, whatever color you want to use.
- When the screen has dried, lay both cups down - with the drivers removed and have the cups sitting on some paper towel material.
- Using some Elmer's glue, slowly put a small bead of the white glue along the ledge that the screen will rest on.
- Set your screen into place.
- Let it dry for about 6 hours.
- That should be it! The process should result in a very neat installation for you.
Ahh... good stuff, that Elmer's glue is. Random thought, but did anyone else as a kid put that stuff all over their hands, wait for it to dry and then peel it off like it was dead skin? I'm really tempted to see if it's just as fun as an adult.
