Sparkle & Atrio can now be used in the same sentence...

Hmm, I'm still curious to hear them even if they aren't that different to the IE8. At the very least they will be good for the gym.

www.handheldaudio.co.uk sells the Atrio for about £120 total (~140 euro) including shipping within the EU.

I know (I've bought mine from them back then). But their site hasn't been updated in a long time and you should check whether that's the new MG7 driver model, before you buy from them. Ear future, the other Europan distributor, sells the Atrios for €219!

The description says it has the MG7, but I emailed anyway for confirmation. No reply yet.

Often these places have old stock that they want to shift first. My MTPCs were definitely old stock as I never got the new supertips or the tip holder/wheel thingy in my box (they are definitely real though).

That MG6 Custom does look tempting.

I finally got a test jig setup to measure iem frequency response.  This is by no means professional, just me playing around.  I do use a calibrated mic, but I imagine in ear response will vary greatly depending on the person. I just thought I would share with you guys.

oooohhh nice.

What program are you using?

Interesting. I'd have thought the bass response would have been much louder. Still, it pretty much confirms that there is zero sub-bass rolloff (audibly speaking). :)

Definitely no bass roll off! Wow, and the treble reaches way out there as well. It does look like there's a midrange spike though. I remember the V2 Atrios I had being a little harsh in that area. I hope this new version does at least improve on that trait somewhat.

I know I'm going to cave for them at some point.

^ Don't forget that's his ears.

I shall be able to do my graph in a bit. Different ears and all.

Cool. Look forward to seeing your graph too.

Actually, my ears are completely out of the equation at this point.  I use a sound tube of sorts to simulate the ear canal and couple the eim driver to the condenser mic diaphragm.  Actual in-ear sound will differ due to different ears.

^ Ah,

Nice program I'm not having any success though. Replied to Pm.

I'll have to see what I can do to get it working...
