But the issue with the LCD X is some love it, some hate it :./ 
 
The MDR Z7 is getting pegged more and more as a Dark Can, which isn't a bad thing

Wow, you have pretty high demands for a "good headphone", Raven ! Do you rate LCD-3 that much better than LCD-X ? Or is it more of a sound signature preference ?

More of a sound signature preference.  I think the X's biggest weakness is its tone.  Very muffled in the mids with glaring treble spike.
