I don't remotely worry having done several factory reset's. It's not important to me, the music is and the players presentation nor am I likely to sell the WM1A.

Does the A55 have the ability to take advantage of faster memory cards for loading up music and offer any advantage to the slower cards?

i couldn't find any cfw folder in my wm1a. i used windows pc. but nothing is there with the name cfw help
neither my wm1a shows it has v2 in the unit information. i did the whole process that mrwalkman noted for the v2 upgrade.

So you're seeing "Midnight v2 (for 1A)" in the Unit Information menu but there's no "CFW" folder in the internal storage of the player?

Then it means that the firmware was not installed.

If you used another custom firmware before, did you use its StockRevert package?

Before installing this new version you have to be on the stock firmware.

It can use faster cards, I'm not sure about the actual advantage. I guess the rebuilding of the database can be a bit faster, but for writing data I think the bottle neck is the USB2 speed.
