Thanks. After a complete rebuild of the database the ZX300 now also recognices all the new tracks so I don't know what was the problem yesterday.

I have read your development history and it is a fascinating read. It is development on a level that far exceeds my skills, I develop client-server frontend CRM applications for Windows in Smalltalk plus a little C# backend development for web systems.

PS: I have now tried to install wampy on my 1Z but that is a no go, I end up with a message box despite the 1Z being connected to my pc (I can see the drives in the file explorer and the usb mass storage screen is displayed on the 1Z)

It looks for usb drive named WALKMAN, did you rename it?

Yes I’ve renamed internal storage WM1ZINTERN and the sd card WM1ZEXTERN. After renaming the internal storage to WALKMAN installation works.

that was very naive of me

EDIT: @WilcoRoger please try this build: https://github.com/unknown321/wampy/releases/tag/a30fm. Hit on all device buttons on FM tab, then collect debug log.
I got wampy installed on my 1Z after renaming the internal storage drive but that was not a success.

The buttons for the tabs in the Settings screen were extremely difficult to operate requiring many presses befor it switched between tabs. It is much smoother on the ZX300 where switches happen with the first press on a tab.

What was much worse was that with wampy installed the 1Z refused to recognice the 2TB microSD card installed in the player (it simply says that there is no card installed in the player. I tried to reboot the player several times, removed the card and inserted it again) so I uninstalled wampy and immediately the microSD card was recogniced again. On the ZX300 there is no problem recognicing an identical card while wampy is installed.

About sleeping - I've spent last two months with broken sleep schedule, sometimes working on Wampy for 24 hours without sleeping (mostly reverse engineering). Now that there is not much to do anymore, I can finally rest.

—what inspired this dedication? It is amazing what you have done!
It's sad to know that tunings were made without knowing what's actually changing, but hey, now we know - it's volume tables.
This is interesting- I have a question/feature request- is there a way to identify how the volume tables are set at default on the various devices, so that we could select presets of the volume table tunings of the various devices ?

Just so you know, radio was added for A30/40 folks who cannot enjoy Wampy without upgrading to Walkman One, not because someone with A50 was asking.
Thank you, nevertheless :)

Have you read user manual? Half of the questions you ask are already covered there.

what inspired this dedication
First, because I can. Second, soon I won't have time to continue development, so I need to hurry.

I’ll try to install it again one day and generate the log.

A feature for the installer could be that the user can select the drive to install on rather than the installer assuming it is one with a volume label of WALKMAN.

A30 Walkman One loads some radio drivers, but all of them don't create radio device; is something wrong with kernel? Marking it as unsupported for now; need a device in my hands to test. I hope A40 works better in that regard.

I’ll try to reinstall it again one day and generate the log.
Just so you know, @WilcoRoger has 512GB sd card with 11k songs on A30 and it works just fine (judging from log file). There must be something wrong with either hardware or software on your side. About drive selection - I'd rather not, there were people who failed at firmware version selection screen, they'll definitely try to install Wampy on every drive they have.

Yes it’s strange, it works fine with wampy on my ZX300 with an identical 2TB card with the same about 62.000 tracks on but the 1Z simply ignored the card (in settings it says No card installed) but as soon as wampy was uninstalled the card was recogniced again. Both players have WalkmanOne installed with the same settings apart from region which is J on ZX300 and J3 on 1Z
