Hi, there are builds only for a55.Hello, is this only for the a55? Thanks
I believe it is 90% compatible with WM1A/Z, NW-A30/40, ZX300, since these work on same software platform. Possible problems are screen size, different button identificators and storage layout. I can build a port for these, but I need a device to test on or at least a volunteer.

Isn't the cassette screen supposed to be animated? (Edit: is just that, as long as device has expected setting/s, as stated below).I'm getting to know wampy / auto-scrobble with A55: this could be right up my street, and could permanently obsolesce the Android player/s.
It is VU meters, an unexpected case. Only standard display screen works for now, will fix later.Isn't the cassette screen supposed to be animated? (Edit: is just that, as long as device has expected setting/s, as stated below).
Not happy with AAC (my preferred codec). Won't display tags nor animate cassette. (Edit: this was with BT enabled, or VU meters enabled, or both. Works great with wired cans & standard screen/s. Boy my face is red).
Even allowing for user error, lots of edge cases to deal with. Auto-scrobbler is good, though, and has been a nice surprise going into 2025!
You definitely can. First you must make a full backup of your device, instruction here - https://github.com/unknown321/wampy/blob/master/BACKUP.md. Backup is needed in case something goes very wrong and device goes into boot loop; having backup is the easiest way out of if. Other ways include dumping and editing bricked device's flash (complicated, hard to explain over the internet) and visiting local Sony Support Center.Do reach out if I could help further with A45 (or A55). Please note, I am running with Walkman One enabled.

After a backup I'll send you a beta build.
What are you talking about, this is a Sony Walkman custom firmware thread, don't think it's a MrWalkman exclusive. Even if it is, can be nicer about it.Make your own thread and quit walking on @MrWalkman
As Justsomesonyfan said this thread is for custom firmware, not exclusive to MrWalkman. There have been other users in the past, especially in the old thread.Make your own thread and quit walking on @MrWalkman
You're probably right, but since @MrWalkman started this thread talking about his firmware mod, I could be wrong. What are you talking about, this is a Sony Walkman custom firmware thread, don't think it's a MrWalkman exclusive. Even if it is, can be nicer about it.

Think about where wed be if nobody made any firmware for these devices.
