Make sure you have enough space to perform the update. I ran into similar problem on the A17 and all i have to do was deleting files to free up memory.

Has anyone saved this update file to post it somewhere. The download link is down v1.14.002 and the available one through the different link v1.14.000 is not being recognised by zx1. I tried on both windows and mac and its not working.

Hi, maybe I missed it, but is there a reason you're not updating straight from ZX1 itself? As in, connect to wifi, go to Settings, About Device, System Update..?
This is very strange. I am also unable to update to v.1.14. Have tried using the update process as described above but the ZX1 says 1.13 is the current version. Also downloaded v1.14from the Japan site but the loader fails to connect with the player. I tried reinstalling v1.13 which worked using the same procedure with no problem so the process is OK. If you look at the Sony UK support site it says v1.13 is the current version. So something strange is going on.

I'm from Portugal and in Portuguese Sony site there is not 1.14 update. I think that this update is only for Japanese models. People in Europe perhaps must wait for a European update.

Strange indeed. Seems like Sony pulled the japanese update for overseas models right after it was published. Thats why the original link (with english instructions) is not working anymore.
This means for now (or forever maybe) Im stuck with an expensive paper weight (BRC-NWH10), since it wont work properly with my ZX1.

Like i said the 1,14 update it's only available for Japanese models. The japanese models have atrac and European models don't have it,. Europe model has FLAC instead ATRAC. My model is European and it says that it is up to date with 1.13.
Im disappoited with the new cd of Supertramp Crime Of The Century 40th anniversary in Hi-Res. I Have a Japanese cd wich i had converte to 24 bit 96 khz and t is better than the official one.
The oiginal recording is from 1974. By this time i think that there was not recorded in 24 bit 96 khz so i assume that they had made an upscale of te original recording.If they do that they had made a bad work. I'm waiing fr your cmments. All the other original stuff that i have in Hi Res is not as good as the ones made by me from the origial cd ni 16bit 44,1 KHz upscaled to 24 bit 96 kHz
