Zx507 is freaking beast when it comes to bluetooth headphones. What ever you hook to it via bluetooth it sounds awesome.

🤣🤣🤣 I even hooked air pods pro and they sounded better than on Iphone it self !!!

How can that be, since you are not using the dac or amp in the 507? Is the bluetooth implementation of the 507 somehow superior to anything else?

Yes it the bluetooth of the zx507 very high quality also its cleaner.
I just dont know but what ever you hook to it via bluetooth will still sound better vs cell phone bluetooth connection.

I guess it has superior protocols

If you install the international version of the firmware, still volume cap in European units?

Yes, currently there is NO workaround for the EU volume cap. Flashing firmware to another region won’t remove the cap. Perhaps there will never be a way to remove the volume cap. Unless Sony themselves decides to do something about it.

I wonder why can't they just "leak" this information?
I would imagine that this would increase their sale numbers in Europe noticeably :)

They didn't leak anything for the other Walkman devices as well. Someone just worked it out.

The volume cap is based on the internal region of the player, which always stays the same, regardless of the installed firmware, unless it's changed. That's how we're removing the volume cap on other Walkman devices, by changing the region.

If some institution in Europe would launch an investigation and find out they purposely leaked something to help bypass regulations, I don't imagine it would be ok.

I got the ZX507 the other day, and it sounds so good. I wish battery life was better and wish Sony removed all the Android extra stuff from their build.

Couldn't resist and ordered a set of the Final e5000 to have a new set of earphones to go with the ZX507 when it arrives (or when I get to use it come Christmas... that will be hard to wait for). I had been reading up on them last week, lots of incredible reviews and at the time they were £219.99 - they then dropped to £159.99 (about €180 for me) on Amazon. The e4000 is also reduced to £89 from £119.

The wifi is the biggest battery eater so make sure to disable it if you are not using it. A lot of Android unnecessary stuff can be turned off or disabled to help with the battery too. You can follow the guide @Sonywalkmanuser made. It's somewhere in this thread.
