Why do you care if you're happy withe ZX300? Not much chance the ZX500 series is going to sound better or have longer battery life than the ZX300

I completely agree... people always tend to look at newer things.. I bought specifically the ZX300 because I didn't want Wifi and streaming services.. the quality is VERY good...I don't think my hearing will find a night-and-day difference with this new ZX500...

I've never seen the IER-M7 for sale in European stores. But you can order it from Accessory Jack or Penon Audio.

And I answered with a "?" because you won't find a lot of Sony options in the price range you wanted. It's N3AP (~220€), IER-M7 (~550€), IER-M9 (~950€). You have the EX800ST at around ~300€ which have excellent feedback but they are not very comfortable and far from ideal if you plan to use your IEMs on the go.

Additionally, the IER series IEMs come with two cables, standard 3.5mm and a balanced 4.4mm cable as well.

Thank you,

What about N3AP as it seems to have 4.4mm balanced cable according to Sony website? Is it a good pairing for NW-ZX300?

N3AP comes with a 3.5mm cable, the N3BP is the one that comes with a 4.4 balanced cable, however the cable is kinda flimsy.

I like my M7s a lot. First experience with balanced. No experience with M9s. I had MDR-EX700s for the last near decade paired with HiMD and they still sound awesome on ZX300 unbalanced but when you put enough power through the M7s you get this powerful, loud yet rounded sound. I can listen at higher volumes for longer to the M7s and feel no discomfort, whereas with the EX700s there is a point where the highs can be painful. I don't know if this is standard for balanced gear, all I know is M7s sound very good to me, the best I've ever heard in a portable so I'm real happy.

I will wait for IFA announcement and if nothing new announced or in my budget, then find out from Sony Centre UK about ZX300 in black with IER M7.

Is it easy dragging AIFF Files from a Computer into the ZX300? I use a MAC.

Was wondering if i need to drag album/clipart photos aswell.

Please does anyone know if the ZX300 can transmit over Bluetooth at redbook. 1440kbps. I am not sure even if Bluetooth can do that.

I have the manual, and the website specs page. https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/walkman/nw-zx300/specifications

However all the schpiel on it doesn't mean much.
Wireless Capabilities Bluetooth® Ver 4.2,NFC: Yes

Compatible Bluetooth® Profile Compatible Bluetooth profiles*1 - A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) - AVRCP (Audio Video Remote Control Profile) Supported Codec*2: SBC*3, LDAC, aptX *1 Bluetooth profiles are standardized according to the purpose of the Bluetooth device. *2 Codec indicates the audio signal compression and conversion format. *3 SBC stands for Subband Codec.

I have googled all of the terms from the manual. It does look as though the Zx300 probably transmits at about lossy 345kbs. One of the terms I looked at, said it was not bitrate limited, but manufacturers usually limit it to 345kbps also.

It means there is no answer on from the manual that I have looked at. Or the website specs.

Does anyone know if the ZX300 can transmit redbook?

It's very easy to drag AIFF from a Mac to the ZX300. Also you can also embed all the artwork and IDv3 tags in AIFF files. I use kid3 and Metadatics on a Mac.
