I hate those hard plastic case, especially on a smartphone, too much bending and they will start to crack. Yep cheapo matt protector is all you need, mine only cost me USD 2 each, found out they work pretty good, so I went and got another piece for spare incase I wasn't able to get the same one later on.

I've been reading about battery draw concerns. I don't know how well mine is because I've been plugging in to my computer daily and going through music to transfer But anyway, could the perceived battery draw be from the high gain setting? with my sony H3, I am using the standard gain setting. Am I missing any sound quality without using the high gain? I figure if Don't need the extra volume, then whey use it. I seems to cruise around 90-100 on the volume scale on SE/Normal gain. what are your perceptions on high gain vs. standard gain?

Yes that's why back in the day of rios, irivers, iaudio, (before they were known as cowon) creative, Samsung, mpio, archos, etc etc lol I always tried to go with silicone because those blasted plastic cases would always crack, scratch badly, or scratch the player.

I'm sure his will be fine though  But now that I've had nice leather cases I don't think I could ever go back to silicone. Its just so luxurious.

400 hrs, just over 100 with balanced cable. My respect has grown for this player since around the 300 hour mark. I feel I'm in uncharted territory now :)

Balanced set to Full gain, battery lasts a good 5 days for me, maybe more. My other player needs charging after 8 hours.

My Macbook is being selective with its search capabilities when searching "walkman" as a drive when the ZX is connected.

for example- lets say i put the word springsteen into the search box- I get all the files associated with springsteen. Now, I type in Herbie hancock, or watermelon man, for example and I get nothing. Yet if I scroll through the thousands of files manually I can ultimately find the "watermelon man" file granted the file name is "02 Watermelon man" Now if i type in 02 watermelon man in the box, I STILL get nothing. It seems to be picking and choosing which files it will find when using the search box. Hopefully I explained myself clearly. Its very annoying and frustrating. The files are all there on the ZX as well, without any problem, but the MacBook cant find them on the walkman. Any help? THX

I have Tidymymusic. Does anyone know I can resize the album art on iTunes? Most of the albums I add to my zx300 do not show up.
the size does not matter in this case

the album art JPEG has to be in baseline format for these to show up in the ZX300.

Hi. I've got a zx300 and I love it. Just need a little help. I want to set an eq that would be great for black, death and doom metal. Anybody got a suggestion on how how I should set the eq to get a more desirable sound?
