yes ... i know ... but it has a comparison between the AK and the zx-2 which is not far behind AK !

Has anyone tried to remote control the NW-ZX2 or NW-ZX1 via some form of app?
 
This strikes me as a great music server and also a portable DAP.  ie. just plug it into your speaker rig when at home, then when on the go on trains/planes take it as a DAP. the only thing it really needs is the ability to be remote-controlled....

The latest version 9.0.0.A.0.1 requires Android 4.2 and up so ZX2 should be good to go

Does anybody have experience using zx2 in balanced mode for output.is there an improvement? just stock headphone out not into an amp. I read somewhere output is not true balanced but extra ground to reduce interference.. Thoughts?

It doesn't have balanced out. It can use a TRRS because it has R and L grounds and there is a little improvement in sound.

That's the same question I asked, but no reply, android wear does not work, as it requires 4.3 and up, so no smartwatch will work.

In fact there is one or two that you can use, it's the first generation Sony Liveview,  smartwatch 2 and I think the pebble, they were released at least 3 years ago, not too sure if you can still find them, I had the Sony, it's rather slow at running, the UI is not perfect and a battery drainer, but it was stolen from my bag.

you could always go in the opposite direction & use the ZX2 as a remote for other equipment... you may see the utter irony in all this.

Guys, I just found out that only embedded cover art will be displayed, not external files such as folder.jpg or cover.jpg

Who do we talk to to improve this in the next firmware revision? Will Sony hear us? or this is hopeless?
