If the new generation sounded pretty much identical, but had double the power and no android, then I would definitely save up.

It is still playing music, but not in the same quality. Same is true for Xperia Phones. You can still take photos after you unlocked the bootloader, but its not the same image quality anymore.

At least with the ZX507, that was the case. I never tried the A105 so maybe its different, depending on the device.

However I have the sp2000t the sp1000amp and the cayin n6 Ti. I also heard the sp2000 and the hiby r8 and the shanling M8 and LPGT and for me the Wm1z is my endgame. Being able to change the sound signature depending on your helmet or iem is unique on the market. Also with the Mrwalkman firmware that I've been trying since yesterday to increase the power of sony and a killer. Now no problem to power all my headphones even 300ohm headphones. This man is a genius. Many thanks again to Mr Walkman. Without him I would probably never have bought Sony devices.

No one has achieved Endgame.

I’ve essentially not bought anything other than BT in ears and the A55 since I got the Signature products 5 1/2 years ago (well the IER 3 years ago when it came out) and have no plan or desire to buy anything else so as close to end game as possible

Amazon.de has published pre-orders and shipping dates. The EU importer is in my country - Belgium. This implies the DAPs are already here and are currently being tested/branded/certified.

Quite a price difference between UK and German then. Rip off Britain!

I've preordered the AM2. Seems like a worthy successor to my ZX2.
I assume 1TB SDXC will be compatible?
Also, any word on a decent case? IIRC I had to import the leather case for the ZX2 from Japan.

They take microSD cards, not full size, but the older generations all take 1TB cards

Well technically nobody, not even Sony, KNOWS this since the cards don’exist, but yes according to specs they can and I’m still waiting and longing for the day they are available
