Has anyone managed to use nwdesttool on linux?
I copy the scsitool_64-nwz-v27 file to the root directory of the player,
then issue the command as root: sudo ./scsitool / dev / sdX dest_tool get

the answer is command not found.

Just navigate into the executable directory.... Just to be sure:
chmod +x scsitool_64-nwz-v27
Then
.sudo ./scsitool_64-nwz-v27 /dev/sdX dest_tool get

Where X is the letter of your walkman

No you gm have to run the tool from the host operating system...type

cd ~
Then wget .....
Then chmod +x ...
Then ./scsitool_64-nwz-v27 /dev/sdX dest_tool get
Where you should change the X... To know possible choices just ls /dev/

July has arrived so I will start checking https://thewalkmanblog.blogspot.com/ periodically for any mention of new Sony DAP's submitted to the FCC for approval. Really hoping Sony hasn't abandoned their Linux based DAP's.

Has anyone done any real comparissions on battery life with DSEE HX on and off? I'm on the custom DMP-A50 FEv2 and I'm experiencing battery drain compared to specs. Iv'e been using DSEE HX and phase linear because it sounded the best to my ears. Altough I can't really say for sure if I would pass a blind test or not. I just thought that if the difference is a lot when it comes to the battery life it might not even be worth using these feautures since I'm only playing 16/44 or more anyway.

If you use Plus mode you'll consume an extra 20-25% and using dsp effects consumes a further 10-20% extra depending on which and how many

Do these have an oleophobic coating on the screen? It attracts fingerprints so easily.
Ps - I asked above but got no reply so please allow to ask again, can the Walkman drive 300ohm headphones like the HD600?
