I bought a "brand new" off ebay that was made in 2018 that had missing wrapping.

There is skipping issue when connected to both Bose qc35 and sony 1000XM3, especially when riding bike.

is this a normal issue or did I get a lemon?

I prefer The A50Z (classic) mode with the clear audio+ ON when I really want my music to be alive. Otherwise, A50Z (classic) with DSEE HX and Vinyl ON only.

After much toing and froing I think I've finally settled on the A50R FE - not so much for the differences of sound but for the features it has. Btw I'm mainly using direct on.
The battery is crazy on the A50 - after flashing several times, I thought it to be a good idea to recalibrate the battery, so I ran it down till empty. With just one bar left, it was still going on for 6 more hours or so!

Also I solved my only peeve, how the screen just collects fingerprints. The clear screen protecting film I had laying around helped just a bit. I finally find a matte (non reflecting) film that's for the A30, but works just as well on this - boom, prints gone and the DAP looks even cooler, just a black slab. best 3€ spent on this hobby

The player does not display a clock. The clock setting is used for data management.

This is one of those very weird Japanese design things. You can even set the clock display style (dd/mm/yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy or yyyy/mm/dd) while the clock is not displayed anywhere.

Also changed the walkman to J region but then there are some weird setting (recording)
