it has USB in (USB DAC) and USB Out (send dogital fata to anothwr DAC/AMP, but for this one you'll need the sony WMC-H10 cable)
so the newest A105 has USB DAC function while the more expensive ZX500 doesn’t

The DAP creates a 'database' each time it is powered up. This takes time and slows down acces to the tunes. What is exacrly your problem with the 1TB card?
Tested it with my 3 year old WM1A, it has indexed 50k tunes properly.
I.e.: the A105 does not have the database issue?so the newest A105 has USB DAC function while the more expensive ZX500 doesn’t
It is a little irritating, but as the A55 has such good battery life you can just leave it on in standby rather than switching it off, avoiding this issue. The DAP creates a 'database' each time it is powered up. This takes time and slows down acces to the tunes.
It is a stupid design as indexing a database should only happen after USB connection or when the user deletes something and then only on request.
I will test the delay once my TB card has been filled.
did you notice that it switches off after 24 hours in pause, or is it only mine that is doing that?It is a little irritating, but as the A55 has such good battery life you can just leave it on in standby rather than switching it off, avoiding this issue.

You can turn off the auto shut down actually. That is normal behaviour...
One can only choose between 12 and 24 hours for the shut-down, right?
I didn't check in the settings, mine went off while I was sitting near it and I hadn't listen to music since the night before it's the reason why I found out about that behavior. That is normal behaviour...

Yes 2 min 48 sec and 48 hundreths.2 minutes 48 seconds and 48 hundredths?
How large was the card if any?
Mine is being returned.
Which player (Sony too) does not have this database issue nor a slow startup?

No problem hahahaAh, thanx. I already forgot...
For me the auto shut-down makes sense as I don't use the DAP every day.
