Is the extra money worth the price of purchasing the NWZ-ZX1 Walkman over the NW-A27HN. Amazon has the following prices.   ZX-1  $457
                             A27 - $359

Do you think I need to purchase a separate amp for this player or is the one with the player sufficient.

depends on the headphones if you use efficient 32 Ohm or 40 ohm and sesitive of 105 mw/db or more then its fine, but if you plan to use with hungrier ones like audezes, ultrasones, sennheisers then yep an amp or DAC/Amp

Just got the 200gb SD card from the recent sale. Entire music collection now on the walkman...yay.

Nice to see someone else with the NW-A20 model. Hopefully this thread starts picking up some traffic. I notice that a lot of talk about the A20 is taking place on the A10 thread. Let's keep this one alive!

I'm considering A25 pairing up with IFI iCan micro (an amplifier), I'm new to Sony players, will that work? Thanks

I would love to see a merged thread for all nwz players. Moderators?

We don't have a thread merge button. I'd have to do it by moving all the posts in this thread to the other one, so it isn't very practicable. The easiest thing might be to lock this thread and rename the other thread to include the A20 series.
