Hey Head-Fi! I just joined today to get some advice!
So currently I use Samson CH70 Studio Reference Headphones. I am ready to step it up and get some new headphones. My brother just bought some Sony MDR-V6's and they sound amazing! I listen to metal, techno, hard rock, and progressive metal. So I'm not terribly worried about bass. I'm trying to see whether or not I should get the HD 448's instead. Please help!

If you find the HD448 uncomfortable, you might want to change the pleather ear pads to velour ear pads. My HD438s are quite comfortable. Head band is fine but the extensions when you want to lengthen the headband is really flimsy.

I played some metal on the XBs and they sounded too smooth to my ears. They're great for songs by The Killers imo, but not metal.
