Hey guys. I seem to be stuck deciding between these IEM's and was wondering which ones are the best for me. I listen to mainly Hip-Hop/Rap & DnB/Dubstep/Techno (so music with a lot of bass). Any response helps! Thanks alot!!

Well, I'll jump on this one. fi10s are great IEMs but the armature mechanics are not going to facilitate a massive boom. The Sony 600s and the gr07 are going to be your coin flip for bass boom. The 600s have massive dynamic drivers (like 16mm), amp those babies and you'll feel the bass in your jaw. The gr07's are large dynamic as well (13mm I believe) and they rock hard as well. The only factor in my head that would rule one way or the other would be price. I think the gr07's are 20 bucks cheaper on Amazon. Hope I helped a bit, happy boomin'.

If you can get the Triple.fi 10 to fit well, they have decent quick bass but nothing too low. I personally would probably go for the GR07. Another popular pick is the RE262, but it is more mid-centric and requires an amp.

Have you checked |Joker|'s mega-comparison yet?

I have TF10 and GRO7. I would lean towards GRO7 for your bass preferences. TF10 have a little more quantity though won't go deep as GRO7. So, in some songs TF10 will roll off very early, it sounds like part of the song goes missing. This really shows in songs with deep sub-bass. Where as GRO7 stays even across the board. I haven't heard EX600.

Ok, cool. I have heard that over a period of time, the cable on the gr07 starts to change to green... Is this true? And if so does this affect the iem in any way?

The cable does turn green yes. It doesn't affect the sound in any shape or form.

Ok thanks. Do you have any other recommendations to IEMs that fit my preferences? Thank you again! I appreciate it.

You could possibly look at Yamaha EPH-100, however I think GRO7 will fit the bill nicely.

You'll find the recent EPH-100 review inside this thread. Tier 2B ($100-150)

Thanks! Out of the TF10 and the ex600, which would you get? I can get the ex600 for around $ 135 - $ 140 and the TF10 for $ 160 - ish. I would just rather have an iem with a removable cable!

I would choose TF10 personally.

Ok. Is the bass good enough for my music preferences? Which iem has better bass? Thanks for your help!

I'm really running blind here as I haven't heard EX600. Which takes me back to saying GRO7 have the better bass. Remember TF10 roll off really early. I can't and I shan't comment on IEM's I haven't owned. It would be too misleading sorry. What exactly worry's you about the GRO7 cable?

Right. How about the ergonomics on the ex600? And I'm just worried if the cable wears out, then I'd have to get another set of gr07s, rather than if I had an iem with a removable cable!

That's what I was thinking. So, with my music preferences I should go with the mdr ex600? And if I do, I've been hearing that you can do something with the cable to make it better SQ? it has something to do with changing it to silver... I was wondering how.
