Use the stock cable and be happy. It is a good one.
Second this, stock cable can be had @ $150 from Sony. BTW, I got many "upgrade" cables for Z1R, including Fiio you mentioned, they all ended up collecting dust.

Hello! I am a new owner of ier z1r. I am considering buying fiio lc re 2022 pro cable.
I am bit worried about mmcx connection.
have bad experience with xba z5. bought them on 2nd market.
left was good with old fiio lc re mmcx, right was lossy sound. and very hard to pull off. left was ez (similar to sony kimber or stock cable)
with other lc re it was reverse. left was not playing at all. right as ok.... and I guess it was also hard to pull off at least one.
this early summer right earphone on xba z5 collapsed. no sound. 1st it was loosy, then off. left is ok. with sony kimber/stock cable.
***
now I have ier z1r and I want ot keep them for long.
is it ok to try this fiio 2022 pro lc re cable? nor wear on mmcx?
I use sony-kimber 4.4 cable now, stock z1r cable was changed for 2.5m jack by previous owner. need to changed it back.
have not yet tired it. how does it sound? silver coated cooper.
will lc re upgrade bass/subbase on z1r with zx500 power?
is zx500 power enough to properly drive low freq on z1r?
it's enough ffor mid*high. however lower. xba z5 was amazing in lower section with 16mm dd. especially with lc re cable. sub bass. never before or since heard like that.
Stock cable is good. I use the Dunu Blache, not that it gives a huge difference/improvement in sound but the swappable tips are really usefull so I don’t have to swap the cable

I thought Fiio LC could improve the ergonomic but it did not, might be just a little. The SQ imo is not as good as the stock.

FiiO Upgrade Headphone Cable Replaceable 4N Pure Silver 3.9FT Lossless MMCX Comes with 2.5mm/3.5mm/4.4mm Swappable Plugs LC-RD, they now have LC-RD Pro, not sure about the difference since they look almost the same.

It's a different cable.
Lc Re has 3 wires: copper, silver and golden plated copper.
Golden copper gives unheard subbass.
Now I stay with sony kimber cable. Pure copper.
Sonically it is better than stock cable silver plated copper.
I plan to upgrade to lc re 2022.
Because despite good sound, sony kimber's ergonomics is awful.
Lc re aslo gives boosted sub-bass when needed, a better sound stage, etc.

Save yourself a crap loada 💵 and get pair of Pentaconn Coreir tips...I wouldn’t say Z1R’s does great Sub Bass period (#not a basshead set) but Coreir’s focus what’s already there and there’s no better tip when it comes to soundstage imho.

I believe u, but my source is zx500. it has only 200mW (and I suppose 2mVolts). I assume it's not perfect to drive low freqs on z1r.
ier z1r has 40 ohm and 103 db/mW
xba z5 has 32 ohm and 107 dB/mW
as u see z1r are more power hungry than z5 and with more impedance. even though mids and lows are perfect (sony kimber cable)
I was advised to switch to zx707 to drive z1r.
It has 230mW. no info about mVolts... anyone knows Voltage output of 707?
I am not particular bass head, but I want ot feel it when it's should be there. hip-hop, edm, rammstein buck dich. bass gives u drive. poweeeer!!!!
for rock and other bass light genres zx507 + z1r + sony kimber cable is already close to perfect.

Very nice, mine is essentially the same in a different case, though for travel I mostly bring the 7hz Timeless OG in place of the Z1R unless I go for a longer periode
