Stock, Sony EP-EX11, Acoustune AET07 all seem to be recommended.

Some
Stock, Sony EP-EX11, Acoustune AET07 all seem to be recommended.
Also Final E, various Sedna tips and many more. Tips will be a very personal thing as they to a large degree depend on the individual ears and what sound a given person want

Recently Im using spinfit W1 for my Z1R, great fit and seal well, medium to wide bore, and well attached to the nozzle. Bass sounded more tactile / faster while retaining same great impact.

Just got my Xmas present today. Luckily, I have no fit issues and have been enjoying for a couple hours.

Wanted to offer a possible solution to others having trouble with the cable/fit. I used an angled mmcx to 2pin adapter from my ZX5.

Not only does this save the mmcx, but it also allows the cable to rotate closer to your head. The pictures will give you better idea. I cant remember exactly where I ordered the adapters from (probably ebay or aliexpress). Hope this helps someone.

Hard to find those adapter though, especially for Z1R mmcx. Found one generic angled adapter on Amazon (OEAudio), there is one bad review mentioned that it eventually broke and left the mmcx stuck inside the IEM. It stops me from trying that out.

I saw the same review and stayed far away from OEAudio. The ones I got have lasted since 2013. Luckily they came out intact from the zx5 but definitely a valid concern. I found ones on ebay that look more sturdy and specific to the Z1R. Might buy them to try out. Just an option for people who like to switch cables or find the stock cable keeps pulling the Z1R out.

It seems I’ve had a driver failure in my right earpiece. I’ve lost significant volume from 20-500hz or so. I’ve contacted Sony who have said it’s repairable via the service center, however reading posts here leads me to believe it’s replacement only. Has anyone had experience with a repair?

My units are just out of Australia’s 3 year warranty, so I’m pushing Sony to cover repair or replacement as good will under Australian Consumer Law.

Feeling quite gutted 😢
3 year warranty? I thought the Z1R came with only the standard 1 year...

Depends on where in the world you are, warrenty rules vary a lot by country

Presumably the user is from Australia, and that’s where I purchased my unit. I was told the warranty is only for 1 year.
Don't know but I guess it might also depend on in what country one lives and not only what country the object was bought in.

I think I found these here: https://ear-inc.myshopify.com/produ...onnectors-adapter?_pos=1&_sid=24c82f8c0&_ss=r

I ordered a pair so will be able to see how they fit.

Can anyone please tell me which tips offer better sound quality than IER-Z1R’s stock hybrid silicone rubber tips?
For me, it is the AZLA SednaEarfit Max Standard
