I did a surgery to Stock IER Z1R cables to 2.5mm

I can confirm why it is so good

1/ 4 conductors braided tightly with silk fibers between braids. Very high quality of Copper and silver plated.

2/ Cotton-like wrap for the whole body to further eliminate microphonic

3/ Outter Sleeve is Cotton Fiber body

4/ jackets is soft PTE like, not sure what materials but also meant to minimize micro phonics

What do u mean

Taken literally it would imply that it has been given "End of Life" status by Sony has been or is on the verge of being discontinued...which admittedly seems crazy for a product so new.

Even if this is true, how can this affect enjoyment?

Fantastic cable, improves grip on your ears?
The stock cable does not suit me at all - see my earlier posts.
The illustrated cable has solved all my problems with stock. Security in ear and no pain due to immediate curvature as cable exits earpiece.
