Thank you. I shall hope the included tips would work for me too. I can always try third party ones, if they don't. Tips are one thing that don't cost like the rest of the accessories in our line of hobby.

Yes. It might take a while to find the right tips for Z1R as some people have fit issues due to Z1R’s large shell. I personally don’t have any issues with the fit, the tip searching is more on fine tuning the sound.

Regarding the driver configuration and `acoustic structure' of the IEMs, could someone explain to me how the sound from the main driver is not getting blocked by the tweeter placement?

my guess is that there are sound tubes/channels leading it through and making sure it is timed correctly with regards to the other drivers

Looks like there's a "duct" that traverses above the front driver. You can see there's an air gap above the driver in your image, and here's a view from behind.

Can I ask where you got this photo from? I’ve always been intrigued by the design as well.

Unfortunately, I don't remember. I tend to save interesting images as I come across them so have a folder for the Z1R with random stuff that have been collected. It's likely a Japanese site as that's where most of the "good stuff" is hosted.

I'll throw up a few other images I've collected here:
