SONY IER-Z1R

Have you try spinfit Omni? It is like W1 but shorter stem, more suitable for Z1R, and pentaconn coreir if you haven't (with caveat it may stay in your canal when you pull out the IEM)
Both aren't itchy for me for long usage.

And if you prefer foam, you may like the latest invention from azla, the Azla sedna Foamax (yes with single "m") it's an azla shaped foam, with memory foam material, slow rebound foam and earwax guard on opening

I just got yesterday the spinfit Omni, they are really good with the IMR Enigma+ .. but with the IER-Z1R they are a bit too long like the Pentaconn Coreir Brass .. so with the Z1R they are more or less just hanging on the tips in my ears than fully inserted inside my ears and firmly fixed, like I can feel with both SednaEarfit Max TWS and standard ASMR (fully pushed on the nozzle) and well secured.. I think the experience might really be different with each ears shape.

Till today I have never eared about Foamax .. As I will be in Japan in 3 weeks, I think I will order some on amazon.co.jp to be delivered in my family in Tokyo and probably give a try as I usually really like foam tips.

I am telling you all, if you want perfect seal, the widest soundstage possible, the cleanest bass there is, and perfect treble, get the SpinFit CP240 dual flange tips.

They don't always fit well or improve the sound, but when they do, they are beyond reproach.

I own some of these (Black and Red) .. doesn't really work for me with the Z1R ... drivers are just hanging on the tips in my ears, so not really secured when I am bending my head.

I quite like Azla Max ASMR SS with Z1R. Going to keep them on for a while to see how I like them longer term. I use this tip on all my unis now, does wonders for treble peaks, very comfy, very well made, built in wax protector.

I am switching to wax guard everywhere (it’s just annoying to clean the stuff and don’t want the tuning foam to deteriorate) so I’ll give these a try.

Yeah, they're not going to fit for everyone. But this is a case of when it works, it works very well!

Are the Azla Max ASMR as grippy as the Azla Crystal? I tried the latter with the Z1R and not only they suck for deep insertion because the stem bounces back, they were also extremely painful to remove.

No they're not, which is one reason why I like them. They're made from medical grade silicone, with a matte surface. The front part closest to the tip is extra soft, so it compresses when inserted to exert less pressure on your ear canals. They're also more streamlined in shape than that 'fatter' AZLA MAX (standard edition), which makes inserting and removing easier.

Mostly owner of the Z1R won't have problem because they have time to ear tips rolling and find the best position with the fit while people that only "demo" them in store or from friend's couldn't find the great fit in an instant, they just "too early to give up" and leave the impression with bad fit.
A lot of people that demo them also listen to this:

Modern IEM like the Z1R playing fine with 20 years old sony walkman

I paired my Z1R to a 30 yo NOS Sony Discman. It was shockingly good.
