Sorry to bring up an old thread, but WOW! Huge difference in comfort and performance in the RE0. My hypothesis is that the hybrid construction leaves a solid tube for the sound to travel out of, while the soft outer silicon is very comfortable.

I couldn't agree more.  I was unable to get a good seal with any of the tips that came with the Meelec M6.  I am using the medium Sony on my TF10 so I tried the large on the M6.  Now I understand why people like the M6.  One ear gets a little sore from the large size, so I may need to get another set of mediums.

Has anyone tried the hybrid tips on the Monster Turbines? I'm using these at the gym and keep having to push them in every few steps on the elliptical trainer!
