Ray Lamontangne "You can bring me flowers"  What a great track with a wonderfully recorded bass line and nice balance of horns...then add that wonderful voice and you've got something great to listen to!!

Thanks!  Can't believe I'd never heard of him before, I'll be buying.  Love the horn.

James Morrison's new single One Life provides an interesting mix of big band and pop.  I really like the orchestra sound, but not sure how I feel about the synthesizer...

Of course I'd heard the title track "Trouble" to that album. Just listened to the Till the Sun Turns Black album. The whole damn album is really good and well recorded. Will definitely be purchasing this one.

I highly recommend finding a higher quality version of this song if you can.  The YT video doesn't do it just at all, the vocal sample is amazing.

The Gossip - "Yr Mangled Heart (Guns 'N' Bombs Trashbags Remix)"

Song has great energy, and well it's just eargasmic with good cans.  The album is pretty well recorded.

Freeland - "Borderline"

I have been listening to Ray LaMontagne all afternoon and going through his releases album by album. They are all good and quite enjoying. I have decided that "God Willing and the Creek don't Rise" is my favorite and also happens to be the best recorded and mastered of all the releases. Give this one a shot...you want be disappointed.

It is somewhat reminiscent of the Damien Rice album O, with a little bluesy flavor.

I have read portions of this thread from time to time, and am amazed that the correct answer has not yet been given.

Glad you pointed that out Jim.

I have found Nirvana in a well mastered cd that I never really liked before.

New headphones, turn on the cd, and W0W !!!

How did I miss this little treasure? Give it a try.

Jim
