Thanks for introducing this Mushroom stuff to me. I'm not really into that kind of music(well, at least in the last 5 years) but what they're doing is beyond cool. And yes, their stuff makes headphones WOOOOOW
Mark Knopfler - Ragpicker's Dream - You Don't Know Your Bone: Well produced, lots of space between instruments, smooth and forward vocals, the ride cymbal ticks away nicely high and and in the back, lead guitar hanging in space.
My personal favorite is Yanni's Live at the Acropolis 1994 featuring the royal philharmonic concert orchestra. Absolutley incredible what he does on stage. The song Santorini is particularly epic.
I'm listening to my ATH-M50's on my PC (pretty nice soundcard) and I really like listening to Daughtry - Daughtry. I have the deluxe version ripped from the CD in wav so its all nice quality. His voice seems natural and real especially on the live version of "It's Not Over"
Through my K271's, these songs in particular sound amazing:
House Of The Rising Sun - Joan Baez
Wild Mountain Honey - Steve Miller Band
Going To California - Led Zeppelin
Over The Hills and Far Away- Led Zeppelin
The Cask Of Amontillado - The Alan Parsons Project
You're A Big Girl Now - Bob Dylan
The album/CD "Sounding A Mosaic" from Bedouin Soundclash has some fantastic Reggae/Ska bass guitar!Listening to it with my Atrios is a real treat.
Songs from the CD that especially sound good are:
"Shadow Of A Man"
"Criminal"
"Music My Rock"
"Rude Boy Abroad"
Katamari Tribute - Saynoara Rolling Star (Yuri's Mixx)

About 30+ seconds in you can tell how your 'phones reproduce bass~ I notice these cheap Disney headphones definitely have an impact as compared to the JVC HA-X570s, which relatively have no impact at all despite their being advertised as having "Super Bass"..
