I'm late into this conversation, but I second Dream Theater with my Grado SR-80's. Dream Theater just kicks ass no matter what cans/speakers you're using (the song Change Of Seasons KICKS ASS!!!)

Definetely. I used to listen to that album all the time before I got into Hi-Fi but I gave it a spin the other day and really appreciated the recording quality. Definetely better than the latter albums, BOLA and Renegades are far too "hot" sounding.

Any Dream Theater album/song sounds fantastic with headphones.

Diana Krall -The Look Of Love
Clapton Unplugged
Nightwish - Once
Dire Straits - Brother In Arms
Acoustic Alchemy - The Beautiful Game
Pink Floyd - DSOTM
Foo Fighters - In Your Honor

I'm too lazy to select individual songs, hence the album titles.

Eh, the songs that make me go WOW are usually part of a complete WOW album.

HD 595s btw

Peter Gabriel - US (listening right now)
Jeff Buckley - Sketches For My Sweetheart (the drunk) disc 1
Nellie McKay - Get Away From Me
Nick Drake - Pink Moon

Just songs:
Elliott Smith - Coast to Coast
Jeff Buckley - Dream Brother

All I can think of right now.

Filter and the Crystal Method - (Can't You) Trip Like I Do
Michael Jackson - Speed Demon
Basement Jaxx - Plug it In
A Perfect Circle - Counting Bodies to the Rythem of the War Drum

Someone else mentioned Madonna's Music. Good bass on that track.

Michael Jackson's HIStory and Madonna's The Immaculate Collection.

These two albums have just so deep and crystal clear sound that it's always like woooow.
