I just picked up a set of the RSVs. Moondrop tuning has always been right up my alley. The S8 has been my favorite IEM for quite some time. I quite liked the Monarch MKIIs but the fit was just terrible for me.

I am only in the first 24 hours but wow the tuning of the RSVs is just like SPOT ON for my preferences. It is missing some of the airiness and detail of the S8s but that is actually what I like about these. Talk about an all-arounder. They handle every genre I throw at them with just such great balance. They sound fantastic out of my M11 Plus LTD but scale substantially out of my desktop setup (Soekris 2541-> GSX Mini)- wider stage and better extension. I can only assume these don't get as much hype because they are "only" 5 BA but these have superior tuning over any tribrid I have heard. This is the best BA bass I have experienced. I will share more thoughts after I spend some more time with them.

As I told you, are in burn in process, but its signature is not neutral, V Shaped with good mids and a vented DD getting rumble on the lower freqs.

Thanks for the early impressions and pics! The RSV should be a tough/strong comparison for sound.
Physically it does look a smidgen smaller, esp. near the nozzle.

Mids are a bit recesed, volume is not an iem focused on mids as RSV.
