I have the RSV as a loaner currently. I know I am way late to the party.
But this IEM might be the most balanced one I heard so far.
And what have you heard so far, for reference?

Oh a lot of stuff, hard to remember everything.
Before I considered my thieaudio oracle (OG) the most balanced.
It has more treble extension but can sometimes lean a bit hard and bright sounding in the treble.
I think I also prefer RSV's bass over oracle's.

Could you compare it to the ier-m9 or U12t? May not compete but interested to know how they differ.

I haven't heard those, sorry. Though I heard the u4s, which is a lot more colored. With some warmth and bloom and laid back and smoothed over vocals and a more sparkly treble.
I think generally 64audio is not really going for a neutral/reference tuning. They have their house sound.

Sold my RSV to my friend immediately after received my Studio 4.
Much spacious and better detail.
But RSV still better in term of timbre, at the same time sound damped.
How much is Studio 4 different to EJ07m?

I am absolutely in awe with these Softears Studio 4. But not for the reason you may think.

These aren't the most dynamic or the most articulate set I've tried. Transients are fast but not very incisive. They have a smoother than snappier attack. Heck, I'd say the technicalities of this set match closer to $300 than $400 in some aspects. Instead, these are one of the most neutral sounding IEM's I've tried, bar none. This means that from bass to treble, it sounds very smooth and natural without the feeling of something being off.

The Studio 4's playback of Laufey is absolutely immaculate and probably the best that I've heard Laufey's vocals on besides actually hearing her sing in real life.

Absolutely insane tuning and thought deserved an extra post before I post my first impressions

Hey guys! Here is my review of Softears Studio 4. Check it out to know what I think of Softears' take on a 'studio reference' signature. The article includes detail impressions, graphs and comparisons with popular IEMs in its price segment. Enjoy! :D
