Smyth Research Realiser A16

You Gene,
Can you ask the person who posted the Jame Smyth email on the HCFR forum, the date he ordered his A16?
This date will help myself and others calculate the approximate A16 shipping date of their pre-order.
Thanks

Since I wanted the answer as badly as all of you and since we may not get an answer (if any?) before the weekend is over, I did a search on the French forum and got a result that I will quote :
...I just joined the club of the future owners of the Realiser A16. I made a deposit for the pre-order...

THE DATE IS : December 26th 2017

I trust you to do the math because that is not my thing at all...

#178 and #179 got the address confirmation email 10 days ago. Since then, nobody claimed getting one... And today James writes that 180 units were shipped. Does it mean that there was no more shipping since ? though maybe some got the email since but their unit was not sent yet. Maybe i'll get the email by the end of the month... I keep the faith !

FYI: I am still waiting for mine (#179) although I received the confirmation email 10 days ago.

More like 650 (360+280).
What am I missing?? What is "360"?

I thought James said another 130 Kickstarter boxes to be shipped, and then 280 pre-orders. That's 410 until they're done, not 650 or 700.
They are talking about the total number including what is already delivered. The 360-310 difference could be cancelled orders. I once calculated backers could have ordered 374 A16's max, probably a little less in reality, 360 would be a good estimate.
But you are right, 410 left to go to fullfill the remaining kickstarter and pre-orders. (Meanwhile selling the cancelled-order units full price.) Assuming that quoted James mail is real and correct!

Indeed over time if there is one thing we learnt is that all the schedule dates and commitments given by Smyth Research are to be taken very cautiously... The latest commitment was "we'll keep you informed about the progress in deliveries every week" by in mid-august. Since then we got an update only once after 3 months and that was
3 months ago...

In +- 5 months time (Sept. 2019 to Mid February 2020) they shipped 180 units or 9 units per week.

There remains +- 10 months to reach the end of the 4th quarter : 40 weeks x 9 = 360 units and he has yet 410 (130 + 280) units to ship. It looks more or less promising and feasable...on paper !

There are 45 weeks left in 2020(which is also a leap year). That would mean approximately 400 units, not counting any units shipped since James’s meme. Eminently doable(though I wouldn’t make predictions).
