Hi everyone, had an issue with my Realiser which is playing all my Atmos content in Dolby Audio (dolby digital) only..
It never happened before, this issue appeared when I updated to firmware 2.12 in 24 channels mode with a 12.1.10 virtual atmos room.
Please note that dolby legacy and dolby surround are off and that my content player sends output in bitstream.
You haven't mentioned what your content is.

According to the release notes for firmware rev. 2.12, Oct 02 2022, 4 issues were fixed with that update. None of them seems to be related to your trouble. When you carried out the update to the firmware rev. 2.12, what was your factory restore situation prior to updating for rev. 2.12?
“STEP 6. The firmware update is now complete. Provided you have installed rev 2.10 previously (with a full-factory restore) no factory restore is required for rev 2.12”

Besides the setting for bitstream in your content player, you should ensure that secondary audio is off. Maybe some screen captures of your settings would help. Also, as @shmau wrote, you should’ve mentioned what content did you play back.

what do you mean by secondary audio off?
For an Oppo Blu-ray player, as in the attached picture.

my player is the panasonic UB820 and i don t think that it has secondary audio output option
It has. Have a look at page #31, Owner’s Manual

BD-Video Secondary Audio
Select whether or not to mix the primary and secondary audio (including the button click sound).
If “Off” is selected, the unit outputs the primary audio only.

At the same page #31:
To enjoy BD-Video that supports Dolby Atmos® or DTS:XTM
Connect this unit to an AV amplifier or similar device that supports it with an HDMI cable, and select the following settings:
– Dolby Audio: “Bitstream”
– DTS/DTS-HD: “Bitstream”
– BD-Video Secondary Audio: “Off”

also tried switching to the generic BBC room for atmos and it s still playing content in Dolby Audio (Dolby Digital)...
Did your try other inputs apart from the current one( on the realiser) ? Do you have any other source you can try with, that can feed an Atmos signal?
